Preparation
JB SlickTub is a silicone-epoxy
top-coat, having unique release
properties and has a broad
range of adhesion capabilities
to various substrates and
primers. For immersion service
use an approved immersion
service epoxy primer. (Steel:
SSPC 10. Aluminum: SSPC 7.
Fiberglass: 80 grit sand.
Concrete: 28 day minimum cure
and power wash using acid etch
or shot
blast.)
Mixing
Instructions
Before mixing, shake or stir
each component until
homogenous. JB SlickTub is a 2
component product packaged in a
kit which contains the proper
ratio of ingredients. The
entire contents of each
container should be mixed
together. Mix the A and the B
until completely blended. (The
B component thickens upon
aging. Mixing, or a 5% addition
of water will readily disperse
the product. If dilution is not
desired, then mix directly with
the A component prior to
application.) NO INDUCTION
PERIOD NECESSARY...Spray or
Roll
immediately.
Thinning and Clean
up
In most cases it is not
necessary to thin JB SlickTub.
If you find it necessary to
thin you may add up to 5%
DRINKING WATER. Clean up by
using soap and water while JB
SlickTub is in an uncured
state. For best results clean
all equipment as soon as the
application is complete. After
the material has cured you will
need to use solvents to remove
the JB
SlickTub.
Application
Apply the JB SlickTub with the
brush included in the kit
within one hour after mixing
parts A & B – the
product will begin to cure
after parts are mixed together.
